What effects the time it takes to upload a file to Behavior Connect? |
|
Length of Video: The shorter the video, the less data. The less data the greater ease of uploading. Typically, we suggest clients to keep video clips less than 10 minutes. In a limited bandwidth environment, we would suggest keeping them to under five minutes.
Upload Time: Our video capture tool, Behavior Capture, comes equipped with an auto-upload tool. This means that once a video has been captured, the uploaded will automatically commence unloading in the background. While this doesn’t speed up the upload, it does allow the process to commence while the computer is working on other tasks.
Estimation of Time: Here are some rough estimates of file size so you can get a sense of what the uploading time might look like:
A 1 minute video in our system will equal approximately 15 megs in data size. Given the assessment from the calculator below, you would expect that to take:
-
On a 56K modem: 37 minutes
-
128 K ISDN line: 16 minutes
-
500 K DSL line: 4 minutes.
