How do I upload DVDs to Behavior Connect? |
Note: this article refers to video DVDs, not data DVDs. Click here to learn the difference.
DVDs are extremely high in quality and file size, and encrypted to protect against unlicensed copying. For reference, a DVD, because it is uncompressed, is typically about 5 GB of video data, whereas the 1 GB B.I. CARE account can hold 5-6 hours of compressed footage.
It is possible to convert DVDs into video files suitable for uploading, but this requires free third-party software such as "Handbrake", available at www.handbrake.fr (usage guide available here).
Behavior Imaging Solutions can assist you as best we can during this process but are unable to fully support third-party products.
After the video has been saved from the DVD and compressed, it may be uploaded in the same way as any other video file.
